A surface understanding of learning is that it is difficult. It sometimes brings fatigue and discouragement. But a much broader reality is that learning is transformative. It grows us.
When a student (or a co-teacher!) is discouraged while learning, we have an assembly saying that helps and encourages us to persevere: I Can’t Do This… Yet!
This assembly saying helps us recognize not only our limits when we are challenged, but also the reality that we have room to grow. As co-teachers we can help our students in vulnerability by making it ok to acknowledge that we don’t know things sometimes. In fact, this admission may help us grow and learn.
Listen as Sara Breetzke talks how this assembly saying can help in some of the most challenging tasks that are required for students, especially the study of geography.
